We pride ourselves on being a family wagon. Bad behavior is not acceptable nor tolerated and it is not conducive to meeting the goals and responsibilities of the Magnificent 7 Wagon.
1. PURPOSE: To establish protocols, Behavior expectations for individuals participating in a Wagon 7, Inc. event.
2. GUIDELINES:
A. EXPECTATIONS
All members and guests at a Wagon 7, Inc. event:
1. Shall be treated respectfully
2. Shall follow the behavior guidelines adopted by the owners of Wagon 7, Inc.
It is the responsibility of the members and guests to know the guidelines.
3. Shall protect and take care of the Wagon 7 property
4. Shall not compromise the safety of others
5. Shall respect the rights, feelings, and property of riders and guests.
6. The Wagon 7 Boss is responsible for Wagon 7 on the ride and on the trail.
Riders must always ride behind Wagons.
B. COGGINS & HEALTH CERTIFICATE
1. Each horse or mule, including rental horses, must have a current (within 30 days) Health Certificate and a Negative Coggins test (within 12 months.)
2. Copies of the current Health Certificate and Coggins must be presented before the trail ride begins to the registration team. No rider nametags nor credentials will be given to any rider who has not been cleared by the registration team for the horse and mule documentation.
C. CARS IN CAMP
1. Every vehicle associated with a Wagon 7 participant must display a current Hang Tag.
2. All members and guests of Wagon 7, Inc. event shall leave all vehicle lanes open at all campsites (do not park in open lanes.)
3. All members and guests of Wagon 7, Inc. shall leave their vehicles unlocked with keys visible.
D. CLOTHING
1. Every Wagon 7 rider (horseback or wagon) must wear current buttons (Wagon Button & SGT Button) along the trail and in Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo
Parade. Buttons (Wagon Button & SGT Button) are non-transferrable to others regardless of the situation.
2. Western-type clothes- cowboy hats, boots, jeans, etc. must be worn on all the trail rides. No ball caps, t-shirts, or tennis shoes.
E. DOGS
1. No dogs are allowed on the trail ride. Dogs in camp must be on a leash.
F. DISRUPTIVE OR UNSAFE BEHAVIOR & CONSEQUENCES
1. Disruptive, unsafe, or abusive conduct by any individual at a Wagon 7 event that deprives, impedes, or limits any individuals’ opportunity to participate in a Wagon 7 activity shall not be tolerated. Two Wagon 7 owners have the authority to dismiss a member or guest for a day for the violation of this rule.
G. WAGON 7, INC. PROPERTY DAMAGE
1. A member or guest of Wagon 7 may not intentionally or recklessly damage or destroy Wagon 7, Salt Grass Trail Ride Association, or other property. Any member or guest who damages personal/public property will be asked to pay the cost of replacement or restoration of the damaged property and shall be subject to disciplinary action.
H. WEAPONS
1. Members and guests shall not bring, possess, concealed, or use a weapon at a Wagon 7 event. Members and guests found to have brought, possessed, concealed, or used a dangerous or deadly weapon, firearm, or destructive device in violation of this policy shall be removed for a period of not less than one year.
All other violations of the policy will result in discipline up to and including expulsion and/or referral to law enforcement, as appropriate.
I. REPORTING AND DISCIPLINARY PROCESS 1. Any member or guest at a Wagon 7, Inc. event may report inappropriate behavior to any Owner of Wagon 7, Inc., writing, or verbally with an additional Owner of Wagon 7, Inc. present 2. Members and guests who engage in behaviors that are deemed inappropriate by the Owners of Wagon 7, Inc., may be subject to disciplinary action which may result in immediate removal of Wagon 7, Inc. privileges, suspension, or expulsion from any Wagon 7 event. 3. In addition to rules and regulations of Wagon 7, Inc. described in the document, members and guests are expected to obey the rules of the Salt Grass Trail Ride Association and laws of the State of Texas and of the United States. 4. After a complete and thorough investigation of reported inappropriate actions, any disciplinary action taken, if any, shall be at the discretion of the Owners of Wagon 7, Inc.
